Bipartisan Leaders Across Georgia Reaffirm Confidence in Election Integrity
Pillars of the Community community leaders in Georgia have issued a strong statement of confidence in the integrity and resilience of Georgia’s election system. Representing a diverse cross-section of Georgia’s communities—business owners, faith leaders, and civic advocates—the Pillars are united in their call to Georgians to head to the polls, assured by the robust measures in place to protect every vote.
The statement ran in multiple papers across the state, in which the Pillars declared:
As Election Day approaches, we, the Pillars of the Community in Georgia, express our confidence in the integrity of our state’s election system.
We’ve reviewed election policies and consulted with local officials, gaining a clear understanding of Georgia’s election safeguards. We are confident in the robust measures in place to ensure accuracy, security, and transparency. The public can trust in the professionalism of these electiion officials as they prepare for the election.
Georgia’s election system is supported by key safeguards: voter ID is required for all voting, absentee ballots undergo strict signature verification, and voting machines are not connected to the internet. Each vote is backed by a paper ballot, ensuring reliable accounts and post-election audits.
Our elections are managed by County Election Boards and supported by thousands of trained poll workers from both political parties. These individuals are committed to ensuring a smooth, fair, and secure election process.
We stand behind Georgia’s election officials and their commitment to secure, fair elections, and urge our fellow Georgians to reject disinformation and participate with confidence.
