Dozens of AZ Community Leaders Sign On To Statement Affirming Trust in Elections
On October 25 and October 27 Pillars of the Community places a full page ad in the Arizona Capitol Times and the Arizona Republic, respectively. Dozens of Arizona community leaders signed onto the letter, the full text of which can be found below.
As Election Day approaches, we express our confidence in the integrity of Arizona’s election system.
Recently, we reviewed the work of local election officials to understand Arizona’s election safeguards. We’ve seen firsthand the robust measures in place to ensure accuracy, transparency, and security.
Arizona’s system is fortified by key safeguards, including: voter ID is required for all in-person voting; mail-in ballots undergo signature verification; and voting machines are isolated from the internet. Each vote is backed by a paper ballot, allowing for reliable recounts and post-election audits.
Our elections are managed by county officials with support from thousands of trained poll workers, representing both political parties. These volunteers—your neighbors, friends, and co-workers in this community—are committed to making the election process run fairly and smoothly.
We stand behind Arizona election officials and poll workers in their efforts to maintain election integrity, and urge our fellow citizens to reject disinformation, support free and fair elections, and confidently exercise your right to vote.
