Statement from Ben Ginsberg and Bob Bauer on the November 2024 Election
As co-chairs of Pillars of the Community, we commend the election administrators, poll workers, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to conduct this November’s election with professionalism and adherence to established procedures, reinforcing public trust in this institution.
This election reflects their commitment to the robust safeguards—foundational measures of transparency, security, accuracy, and respect for law—instilling confidence in our democracy. And where counting continues in states where ballots remain to be tallied, and in the course of recounts and audits that are part of the process, we are confident that they will continue to exhibit the extraordinary dedication we witnessed throughout the Pillars program.
We are especially grateful to our “Pillars,” the dedicated community leaders from Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. Their engagement and collaboration with local authorities have been instrumental in building confidence within communities. They were indispensable to this organization’s mission of fostering understanding and transparency, grounded in bipartisan dialogue and dedication to reliable information about our voting systems, so that all voters feel assured their voices are heard.
Pillars of the Community will continue to champion these values, encouraging the involvement of community leaders–and of all citizens who seek verifiable information and constructive engagement.
Best,
Ben Ginsberg and Bob Bauer
