On Monday September 30, Pillars of the Community and LeaderEthics, a non-profit dedicated to promoting integrity in America’s democracy through ethical leadership practices, joined together to release a resolution endorsing Wisconsin’s election processes. The letter was signed by more than 50 bipartisan community leaders from across La Crosse.

The signatories outlined several concrete safeguards in the elections process that give them confidence that the 2024 presidential election will be fair and secure in Wisconsin. These safeguards and supporting evidence include:

  • Existing voter ID requirements
  • Paper documentation for ballots
  • Audits of the 2020 election by the Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau and the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, which found no evidence of widespread voter fraud
  • Successful elections in 2022 and 2023
  • Faith in the 2,000 election officials who administer elections across Wisconsin

The resolution follows Pillars of the Community’s Wisconsin kickoff this past summer, where community leaders met with election officials to “kick the tires” of the election process, along with LeaderEthics’ extensive recruitment, education, and media outreach efforts.

The resolution is available here.
